Helping authors and publishers tell their stories with confidence, clarity and impact
I am a PR and media training specialist with more than 25 years’ experience in communications. Most recently Deputy Communications Director at Penguin Random House, I have led award-winning campaigns for bestselling books by authors including Barack and Michelle Obama, Jamie Oliver, Dolly Alderton, Stanley Tucci, Bruce Springsteen, Ben Macintyre, Liz Nugent, Claire Fuller and Caleb Azumah Nelson. In a previous role, I was a media spokesperson who appeared on national and international TV and radio - an experience that gives me a unique perspective on both sides of the interview.
I love my job and the adventures my career has taken me on. My work has taken me to beautiful bookshops up and down the country; to literary festivals and prizes; to radio stations and TV studios, both behind the camera and in front of it; to green rooms and backstage at live events; and even to Buckingham Palace and Number 10.

I specialise in planning and delivering creative, strategic PR campaigns that build profile, connect with audiences and help drive book sales - whether launching an exciting debut voice or supporting an established author with their next major release. I love working across literary and commercial fiction, crime and thrillers, and non-fiction including memoir, lifestyle, cookery, history, science and politics.
Media training that builds confidence
For decades, I have prepared authors and spokespeople for interviews, events and public appearances - helping them find their message, tell their story and feel confident in the spotlight. What makes my approach different is that I have also sat on the other side of the microphone. As a former spokesperson, I know what it feels like to face the questions, the cameras and the pressure of live media. I combine that experience with my PR expertise to help people prepare, communicate clearly and perform at their best.
Storytelling is a skill, and I love sharing the techniques and tips I’ve developed throughout my career with people who want to feel prepared, confident and compelling when they step into the spotlight.
